I have ancestors from Bryncroes and having trouble finding information. I know they lived in a house called Gremp. But i have been unsuccessful in finding any reference to Gremp in any of the searching i have done. I did see it on one persons death record from 1889. Is there a place to search house names? Also, is Bryncroes go by any other name? Thank you in advance.

If you posted more information on the names of the people concerned then there may be data online that members can search.
I have just looked at Bryncroes on the Map and it is tiny but most of the houses now are more modern.
The record entries could also be listed by the nearest larger settlement.
To add to uncertainty Old houses do have their names changed.

On the OS 6 inch map of 1888:
https://maps.nls.uk/view/101607312
Gremp is shown one mile southeast of Llangwnadl & one
mile northwest of Bryncroes.
Historical names (with alternative spellings) can be found at:

Thank you for the quick information. I did find Gremp on the map. It was home to Thomas Parry. The only thing i know about him was he had a Daughter (my gr-gr-grandmother) named Elizabeth born between 1834 and 1836 and married to Evan Thomas. Any help with anything about Thomas Parry would be helpful. Thank you.

I must have passed that house on my way to the church in my search for a headstone. If you look on Google earth it shows up. If I remember correctly that road ends at the church and does not continue to Llangwnadl.

Hi
This is the same topic as "Evan Jones (b 1831-1834) and Elizabeth Parry". Why confuse things by posting it as a seperate one? People posting a reply need to read both.
