Chas Frederick Bowe married Marion Mouskett

hi, I am trying to find out more about Charles (Chas) Frederick Bowe b 1862 South Africa d 1946. He married Marion Mouskett of Moscow. The spelling of her name might be different, it is taken from an old hard to read family scroll. Chas was the brother of my great grandfather John Arthur Bowe who was a jeweller for Faberge in Moscow. It is probable that Chas lived in Russia, particularly knowing that his wife Marion came from a Moscow based family. Their parents were Dr Henry Bowe and Eliza Allan. I have plenty of information on Henry and Eliza, they were born in England, and died in South Africa, it is Chas and Marion that I am researching. Any help much appreciated. Regards Carol

Do you have the 1939 register with Charles and Marion on it?

Charles b. 1 June 1862
Marion b.14 Jan 1868

Charles is listed as a retired jeweller and they're living in London

Marion's probate in 1940 a year later states she died 2 May 1940 (named as Marion Arthur Bowe.)

If you go on findmypast there are some Russian records- I don't know how useful they'd be

Children. The correct spelling of Marion's surname is confirmed as Mushet.

Wife listed as Marion Arthur Bowe

Charles died 1946 age 83 registered in Edmonton

There is also a death registration October 1931 for a Henry A Bowe age 32 registered in Kingston Surrey

A tree on ancestry that has documentation says they had a son Henry Albert Bowe born 19 October 1898 in Moscow.

Eliza was 47 when she died and Dr Henry 43. Both buried in Capetown South Africa
