Some inconsistencies - hardly surprising if this is one man who seemed to keep his life in separate parts.
Summing up, these criminal reports would seem to be the same man,albeit with different place of birth.

The Jacob HUNN who died in Victoria 1918 had a sister Harriet WARD who lived in the same area. Esmae, you said there was a nephew surname WARD - do you have any further information? The man who died in Victoria had nephews with surname WARD.
