Just been for our walk and heard the cuckoo for the first time this year . Skylarks going to town and buzzards soaring overhead - just lovely !

Yes we were out on our walk at 6 am and the late dawn chorus was almost deafening the birds sounded really loud, but I assume it was because there was no background noise.
Cheers
Guy

Argh !!! Five a flipping clock in the morning a group of Canada geese descend on the field behind our house. The racket they make coming in and then settling down for a feed is deafening.  If you want to be up at 5 you don’t need an alarm clock.  The blighters were still honking after 6 this morning, not sure what upset them, cats probably

Letting my naturally wavy hair have it's own way by scrunch drying it rather than forcing it to be straight, making the most of the only time I can get away with it being untamed ;D

One thing I noticed recently is that the cold calls seem to have stopped and we actually know the people who are ringing us now  ;D

I'm just about to do the same, Carol, just to see how I really look.

 I'm hoping for a Cathy Newman ;D

I'd noticed we didn't seem to be getting any of those idiot 'phone calls, as well. So that's more than one small moment of pleasure, isn't it?
-Having said that, we'll probably be deluged by them!

I chickened out and got my GHDs out again! Maybe, when we are finally let out, we'll have long hair and the weight will make our hair luxurious and gently curved  :-X ;D

I'm taking great pleasure in the bird song and their antics in the marvelous weather and clean air that we're getting up north  :)
