For Jool and any other fans of Nathan Dylan Goodwin - his Kindle edition of The Wicked Trade is currently on offer at 99p. Hurry before it goes back to full price!  :)

Just bought 'The Sterling Affair' from Amazon Kindle for 99p. What a bargain!  This is the latest book in the Morton Farrier series

Yesterday the girls and I watched Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Been trying to encourage them to try some of the films I loved as a child.

Bobbing along, bobbing along at the bottom of the beautiful briny sea...... :) hope they enjoyed it. Might see if we have that one and watch it too ( without any kids present as the grandchildren can't be here).

They enjoyed it, trying to decide what to get them to watch next, after all we have several weeks

My garden is full of insects. Dozens of (probably) mining bees scooting around a few inches from the ground - not sure what their purpose is, as they don't seem to be visiting any flowers. I guess they are recently emerged from the ground. Various other bees and hoverflies, including my favourite which I always think of as the triangular one! I think it is the bee-fly, bombylius. Quite a few seven spot ladybirds, and a few butterflies.

Highlights today for me were having a video call from my son and granddaughter even though they only live on the estate opposite, and receiving a grocery box to tide me over until the online delivery next week. Also, in the garden the berberis is in full flower and some forced rhubarb is ready.

I'm reading that one at the moment, also got it for 99p.  :) They all come down to that price at some time, I believe there's a period for all of them just after they're first published that they have to be offered at the reduced price. I was so keen to get one from another of my favourite authors that I grabbed it for £2.99, only for it to drop to 99p a week later. I comforted myself with the thought that I'm spending very little at the moment and I deserved it.  :)

and some forced rhubarb is ready.

My rhubarb is well up and not forced, but I forced it to jump into a casserole dish and be covered with crumble mix :)  Yummy, and a sure sign of Spring.

Pleasure today was our grandson who's three and a half wanted to Facebook us to tell us about his day, show me his poorly toe which he'd banged and eat his tea online while we watched! So we saw sausage and mash , carrots, peas and gravy being eaten in front of us. Lovely! His brother who's nearly two mainly wanted to knock the phone that was filming , but it was lovely to see both of them.

The safe arrival today of a very large bag of 400 plus Yorkshire tea bags which should keep us going for a while, despite our daughter having her doubts.

Not long before this all started I went into a discount store for a few things, prominently displayed just inside the entrance were packs of 440 one cup teabags. They were such a bargain that I decided to buy a pack (I'm a tea-aholic!  :)). I'm so glad that my economic strategy had kicked in, I'm well stocked up with my favourite brew.  :D
