Have you tried https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp

which is the Irish Govt BDM Website, safe/free to use!

only entering    Surname   and LURGAN    as district

then using Filters to get Deaths or whatever (and then the decade if known)

Deaths show age at Death

You may find Marriages of siblings etc also

Then if you get a list of names on Civil Reg

Right click on 5 or 6 Names and      Open them in New Tab

Thanks to Hallmark and others, I am taking as much of this in as I can and working with what you have all kindly helped me with.

It's a STEEP learning curve, up to now I have concentrated on doing New Zealand Family and branching out into Ireland and England has been a BIG step forward for me.

Finding and joining this group was like a dream to me and I thank all that have helped me so far, and the admins that do such a wonderful job.

I hope Lockdown for you will be as short as possible it is only starting here...

Indeed it can be daunting starting research in another Country but you can at least pass a little time seeing how you get on...plenty of people here to help if you get stuck!

If you are stuck now, just say!

Stay safe!

Peter, I've done a bit of work in this parish, so let me know if I can be of any help.  My daughter is in lockdown with you in Christchurch -- a world away from me here in Canada.

Hi Kiwi Peter,
The issues with purchasing the certificates is that you get a modern version which does not look anyway near as nice or as authentic in my opinion.

If you can email me the information which you are looking including their names I can send you screen shots of the original civil certificates but I would need names and addresses.

The cost would be a lot less per one as I can get them much easier than you buying them directly and they are currently closed due to corona virus.

I will only be charging you the fee cost of seeing them which is very cheap.

If you are interested then we can work together on this.
