Yes, Pennines, there was a Threlfalls brewery, Liverpool / Salford areas, mostly. It took over Chesters, and a few others, and was itself taken over by Whitbread. And, no, I've never ever tasted any of it. My father said it was more or less aimed at industrial workers in Victorian times, as end-of-day thirst-slaking.
_And, no, I've never ever had the slightest confusion - always female.

Oh thank you TY -- I don't know why I have heard of Threlfalls Brewery. It's not local to me and I never drink beer!

Useless information is good at this time -- we will all be filing it somewhere and may be glad of it in the future, if we get a certain question in a quiz!!

Don't know. Just anything that keeps us from worrying about C******** is a good idea in my book.

Just reporting to our party after an absence of a few days.

My hairdresser rang today to confirm (as expected) - that my forthcoming appointment for a cut was cancelled.

Hence I'll be coming to the party as a mop head.

In a few weeks I'll be turning up as Rapunzel --- but I DON'T want anyone climbing up my hair!

(Quiz question - who climbed up Rapunzel's hair? I realise I could google it - but I seem to remember that somebody did.)
