There's no holding you Viktoria!

By the way --I have noticed that 'waste collection bin' topic is quite busy! So tempted to say they like to talk rubbish on there -- so I have!

Go on then! But the results are on your head.

If it was on mine, there would be a dull and hollow sound ;D ;D

There’s nowt wrong wi’ that!
Now this party, theme —-, how about if we all simultaneously,at the sane time alltogether fly our National flag, whatever that might be,out of the bedroom window on a broom handle.
At a given time ,allowing for time zones( don’t ask me to sort  those out)
Sing or play our respective National Anthems, loudly.
It will do nothing  to stem the advance of the virus but a little madness is a good thing now and then.
We won’t get arrested.
Food, well again let imagination have free rein.
We can be anything we want to be,where we want to be it!
So privately or publicly let’s be daft for a few minutes.
So what about midnight tonight ?
No one need know we have been daft , but for once we will have loosened our stays, kicked over the traces, thrown caution to the wind, let down our hair, probably acted out of character, and the devil take the hindmost.
Let us know how you get on.
Cheerio everyone.
Viktoria.

Viktoria -- good idea!!

I notice you have used the word 'broom'. In view of the earlier posts about your fangs and V shaped fringe --- you may be the only one with an actual broomstick. Have you any spares for the rest of us please?

Noooo, just the handle or stele ,as they are known hereabouts.
It is painted gold, and has been used for as long as I can remember, the first occasion was Victory, then the funeral of GeorgeVI ,and The Queen’s Coronation and Jubilees etc.
The next time sadly will be her funeral
I have two flags a newish one and one that was flown at half mast for Queen Victoria’s funeral.
I was not there you understand! It has come down through the family.

There is a scam circulating ,looks very authentic ,about Government  payouts .
Asks for details etc .One word does look suspect “ relieve“ when relief would seem the more correct.
My daughter has just sent it to me .
I don’t know how to put it on here or I would of course.
Cheerio folks .
Off to do another batch of cooking.
Got quite a few onions so before they go soft I am going to soften them and freeze in portions for with any meat I can get for stews.
I got a bag ,not huge but quite a lot before the emergency was declared as such.Still a good few left.
I could make a fortune ,selling them at extortionate prices like the greengrocer in Dad’s Army.
I won’t though.
 Viktoria,

My cherry tree is keeping me cheery!

Roger

I pass a cheery tree in Glasgow on one of the routes to hospital. I mean cherry tree, although cheery is also correct. I'm going by in a car so unable to pause under it.

The virus needs cooler conditions so hot drinks  regularly throughout the day are very beneficial.Every 15 minutes ideally.

If I have a hot drink every 15 minutes I'll be in a lock down in the toilet.  ;D ;D

I heard this but doubt efficacy. What's the source?
I'm supposed to drink plenty of water & have been making frequent visits.

Oh Groom -- I thought that too! I also wondered if there were toilet facilities at our picnic site.

Don't think many of us are coming actually. The usual party goers are very quiet at the moment.

I need facilities. See previous post.
I'm not partying weekdays. Exception may be Tuesday 7th April and/or Wed. 8th, depending on how I feel. I had a celebratory outing planned for 9th but it's postponed for the foreseeable. The only event on my calendar for Wed. 8th April is putting out the food caddy; that's providing food caddy collection continues. The other event that day has been cancelled- garden bin collection.

I've been in demand today - 6 phone calls from my great nephew asking for help with his school work. Twice about the history he was doing and 4 times about some maths he didn't understand. It's quite difficult trying to explain over the phone.

I live in a quiet cul de sac, which has is even quieter now and I've been watching the neighbours doing PE with their children (separately). One lot were out there skipping and the other was playing football with his dad.
