Oh Groom -- I thought that too! I also wondered if there were toilet facilities at our picnic site.

Don't think many of us are coming actually. The usual party goers are very quiet at the moment.

Pennines - I'm sure we could find a nice private bush for you if you really need it.

I don't know where all the party-goers are, actually.  We keep having these parties but I'm feeling more like a wallflower.

Come on Pennines.  Have you got a red and white check tablecloth?  I've always wanted to have a picnic on one of those tablecloths.  What food have we got?  I managed to get some grapes today.  Usually our resident blackbird (named George) eats them all but I'm sure he won't mind if I pinch some.  I also still have a couple of nice bottles of red wine.  I can't say I've got much other picnic food but I could rustle up a couple of cheese sandwiches.

Could we dress up in those flouncy dresses they used to go to picnics in?  And a big hat with a ribbon tied round it?  Maybe we could have a swim in the river (shivers).

If I have a hot drink every 15 minutes I'll be in a lock down in the toilet.  ;D ;D
That is me too especially after my lunchtime diuretic tablets but I also mentioned regular sips and the advice was for Health Care workers,so perhaps not so frequently for we stay at homers.

Lovely Cherry Tree , very uplifting .
Thanks.Viktoria ,The well knownV-m-p-r-.

Rishile - if we are wearing flouncy dresses - men also I assume -- I might chicken out of the swim in the river. Happy to watch (and laugh) at the rest of you though.

I can't manage a flouncy dress!
Will an Egyptian robe do? A Gallibaya, I think it's called?

I love the photo of the cherry-tree, Roger.  My little morello cherry tree hasn't got to the blossom stage yet though it won't be long.

Am posting this pic because it made me laugh, which takes a bit at the moment, I must admit.

KGarrad --- how come you have one of those garments please? Or is that a secret!

It will do I suppose, but only if you wear it with 'a flounce'.

In 2000, I played in the World Croquet Championships in Cairo!
As well as visiting the Egyptian Museum (twice) and seeing all of the Tutankhamum treasures, I bought myself a souvenir Gallibaya.
Blue with gold embroidery! ;D ;D

Just got some really useful information re Corona Virus.
I have posted it but not sure if it will be on the public forums but the crux is here,
TEST, Each morning hold your breath for ten seconds, you should be able to do that without coughing.
The virus needs cooler conditions so hot drinks  regularly throughout the day are very beneficial.Every 15 minutes ideally.

Avoid iced drinks but keep, your mouth and throat moist as much as you can,one of those insulated cups would be good, just regular sips of hot drinks ,even hot water are good.
If I have done it right you will get much more info which Is very reassuring re self diagnosis and when and if to consult a Doctor.
Cheerio folks.
The info is what National Health staff in Wales  have been given,so is genuine.
Kindest regards to each and everyone .
Viktoria.

If you go to BBC News you will find that both of the above bits of information are false and will not help or prove that you aren't infected.

https://www.bbc.com/news/av/51979410/coronavirus-more-myths-to-ignore

Holding your breath is to check for fibrosis in the lungs, and this is not one of the things Covid19 does.  Drinking water is always good, but there's no proof that it will keep the virus away.

Sorry to be a party pooper!  But it's good to make sure that any 'medical' or 'scientific' information is checked against reliable information from the WHO, etc.

Cheers all

I didn't think about swimming attire but I have always quite liked the costumes the men wore then.  Especially when they had stripes on them (the costumes, not the men).

Is there any other food other than dried up cheese sandwiches?  I'm getting a bit peckish.
