Well done, so as I suspected Rebecca was a sister.
On page 1209 of the BT there's a burial of a Perry - July 17th 1814 age 65. Can't make out any of first name.

Brilliant. Forgot family search (and I’m useless at searching it!)

Another strange thing: Sarah and James brown married in high ongar in 1834 and then married joseph in high ongar in 1853. William perry father. There are loads of Perrys having children between 1799 and 1820s there. Lots of family names: John, Sarah, Charles. Must be related somehow.

Thank you all so much! We thought we had hit a real brick wall on the Perrys but it certainly looks like our Sarah was the one born to William and Maria. We had suspected this might be the case but had failed to find the baptism. There certainly are a lot of Perrys around that area and trying to untangle all the connections between them is challenging! Sarah, after she married Joseph Clark (her second husband), was living next door to William and Letitia Perry and now I will have to see if I can find out what relation they were to her...perhaps the two Williams (her dad and the one next door) were cousins? Thank you so much again...I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

William Perry 1794 fyfield born to abraham (baptised 25 Dec 1770 fyfield to Abraham and Mary nee Sutton who had another Abraham in 1765 and must’ve died before Abraham 1770 was born. Abraham and Mary married 1761 fyfield. Can’t find your original Sarah’s grandfather henry perry though) and Sarah nee greenwood. They were married in fyfield 15/11/1791

Hi Lizzie
Didn’t explain myself very well. Sorry. Meant can’t find a baptism for Henry to link him with Abraham, William (who married letitia)‘s father.
