My stroke means im prone to miss things and Charles birth 24 Dec 1877 means it makes sense he would be registered Mar 1878 and with that i looked again and suspect now that a Charles Burgess death June qtr 1946 at Blackpool is most likely him and the Marton burial is coincidental , thank you for making me think again.

Explains Mary Ann as it was wife of another Charles Burgess born within months of mine and passing away i right area, his mum Mary Ellen nee Masterson married 7 Oct 1861 at Manchester Cathedral and they had 12 children Alfred 1862 -1915, Ellen 1864-1864, Annie Cropper nee Burgess 1865-1939, Jonathan 1867-1954, William 1869-1869, Amy 1871-1875, Sarah Brooks nee Burgess 1873-1949, Esther aka Hester Rimmer nee Burgess 1875-1963 , Charles 1877 -, Robert 1880- 1881 and William 1882 - 1882
