Scottish Birth in Belfast
« on: Saturday 14 March 20 17:06 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

Although researching my tree for years, I know little on Irish research. I have a ancestor born in Belfast (according to her fathers army papers) where her siblings were born in Glasgow. How and where can I find her birth record? She was born 16.09.1909

Thanks

Samantha

A 1909 birth in Belfast should appear at  https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp . Free to view.

Her name is Margaret V D Robertson, born to William Douglas Robertson and Janet Ballantyne Gordon. I believe the V to be Violet and the D to be Douglas but its unconfirmed.

Note date and year differ from the army papers and were 29th August 1910, but as you have seen, other details match.
