One of the censuses says married in 1880, but I don't know if that was in Sweden.

Does it say Varberg on the naturalization record?

Yes, it has Warberg, Halland written.

There is no birth place for Josephina. His DOB is given as 5 December 1854.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything that fitted with the information on the naturalisation record. If you are able to find anything in Swedish records, that would indeed be helpful - or even something that points me in the right direction.
