Printer ink cartridges
«
on:

I have an HP printer and have always used their cartridges but they seem to have tripled in price in the last two years so I am considering buying compatible ones. I am rather wary as I have had trouble with them in the past in a previous printer, not an HP.
Does anyone use this type ? and if so where is the best place to buy them?
Many thanks for any help and advice.

DON'T bother with compatibles; you get what you pay for, and being cheaper, they often don't work.
I've used compatibles on an HP printer, and on a cheap Canon printer .... buy the real thing, is my advice !

I’ve used compatible cartridges with several Epson printers with absolutely no problems. Have a look at Choice Stationary’s brand of Think cartridges

My husband bought refillable cartridges for our "cheap" Canon, they don't hold much ink but refill ink is available online, (not suitable for photogaphs).

I've used both genuine and replacement cartridges for me Epson, and the previous HP.
Never a problem.

I use Stinky Ink, they are very reasonably priced & I have only once had a problem so e-mailed them on a Monday morning regarding the problem & a replacement arrived Tuesday lunch time no questions asked.

Thank you for all the replies. I think it was a Canon printer I had problems with before. I don't do a lot of printing and certainly not photographs,so I might give the compatible ones a try.
Many thanks.

Possibly be prepared for continuous messages from Canon to say that you are using the wrong cartridges!
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids. They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.
