Eamer family from Berkshire.
« on: Tuesday 10 March 20 12:37 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the family of Lily Charlotte Eamer born Easthampstead, Berkshire in Mar Qtr 1903.
Her parents Edward Eamer and Emma J Holloway who married in 1902.
I've tried to find the family on the 1911 census but can't - they should be on it and Lily would have been about 7 or 8.  There are lots of variations of Eamer but I've looked for any which are possibilities - no luck. Also I thought I would find the parents as single people on the 1901 but haven't managed that.
I know that Lily Eamer married William C Seyboth in 1926 in Wokingham. (she was down as Lilian).
Any help on this would be most grateful - surely they can't both be missing on 1911 and 1939 records.

Do you have her marriage certificate to William Seyboth and if you do, does it give her father as Edward/

My reason for asking is that on the marriage entry she is down as Lilian E C Eamer. In 1939 a person with the surname Seyboth is in Coulsdon Surrey in either a home or hospital and there is a death for a Lilian Ellen C Seyboth Dec 1979 Surrey South Eastern 17 1278 but the entry gives a dob of 30 November 1903 which doesn't fit with a birth ref of March quarter 1903.

Wonder why the Birth Ref for Lily has Occasional Copy B on it. That usually means a change has been made.

Have you seen the marriage certificate of Edward and Emma?

Possible
Edward Emer in 1891 census at Bullbrook, Warfield, Easthampstead, Berks.
b 1879 Wokingham
With his mother and new stepfather - William Woodeson
They are still there in 1901 but Edward isn't with them.

There is a
Ellen Holloway b1880 at 62 Rose Street, Wokingham in the 1901 census, but really need her fathers name from the marriage certificate to know who we're looking for.
