Far too many Keith Schofield's born within a suitable time frame

You need clues like:
Is there an age on the Marriage Certificate?
What was father's name and occupation.

IMHO it's absolutely essential to get that certificate.

If he is deceased - his birthdate will be on his death registration.  His marriage cert will only give his age and fathers name - not his birthdate or birthplace.

The wife you mention may possibly only have been born in the 1940's
