Hi all,
My ancestor served in WW1 and was demobilised in 1919 however in 1921 he was called back up again due to 'an emergency' but only for 6 weeks. I have his original pay book which gives his WW1 service numbers and what appears to be a longer digit service number. I've had no luck finding his service records in the WW1 collection, as is to be expected, but I was wondering - do you think it's worth applying via gov.uk to see if they have a copy of his service record due to him being called back up in 1921?
Thanks in advance.
