Please decipher Message in a Bottle found coast of West Aust 1975

Russian, Croatian? This is from a Family History site in WA. Bottle found at mouth of the Bows River near Pt Gregory Western Australia in 1975 in a green bottle with a round bottom. Two notes inside and the owner hasn't been able to decipher it in all this time and I suggested rootschat may be able to help...

It actually is quite fascinating and we would so love your help PLEASE

Fascinating! I would guess it dates from 1972? The printed page is definitely Cyrillic, looks like Russian? My Russian dau-i-law will be here on Sunday, if no one else can decipher before then I'll get her to have a look.

Regarding the printed page. I cant read Russian but 1882 - 1971 are the birth and death dates for Igor Stravinsky and 1797 - 1846 the dates for writer Wilhelm Ludwig Von Kuchelbecker.

Just looking for something Russian for 1822.

Might or might not help.

The printed side is simply a tear-off calendar page for Wednesday 21 June 1972, with times of sunrise/sunset/full moon etc., and various anniversary dates listed below.

I suspect the handwriting on the other side, which I'm afraid I can't help with, will be far more interesting.

The third entry on the printed page is indeed Kuchelbecker (though they give the initials W/V. K.). The first one is Rockwell Kent, and I think the 1822 refers to the opening of a library in Sebastopol.

It's definitely Russian, but written with some mistakes.
"This hated bottle threw outboard in anger, about the order to arrive to the most frigging river (not sure in these two words) ?
Let not it be empty"

May be it's a sailor ritual.

dublin1850. antonymark, Bookbox, arturk,FNNA -  Thanks all for your input...appreciate your help  The tear off calendar makes sense - with Russian notaries and it seems as though a Russian ship was on the upper end of the west coast of West Australia c. 1972 - 1975. ?? I reckon the green bottle is hated because it ran out of what was in it  and the note sent...to make sure it wasn't empty anymore?  Does seem like a sailor who was around the Bow River area of Pt Gregory.

Looking forward to any more on the hand written note..and wonder if he signed it?
