Handwriting job wise

I think it could be Brick Maker.

If you look elsewhere on the page (1901 Census - RG13/2900 fo25 p13) you'll see several examples of a rather unusual 'k' - Silk Ribbon Weavers, Bulkington, Warwicks[hire] etc, and this occupation seems to have two of the same.

It seems that he has changed his occupation by 1911.  In that census it is Boat Loader in a colliery.  His birth place is given as Everdon, Northamptonshire.

Living at Bedworth Hill Exhall, Exhall, Warwickshire with wife Louisa and five children.

Wonder if it is Barrel maker?
Normally that would be a cooper but they were barrel makers so the less formal term has been used.

Having looked at the page in question there's no doubt that the enumerator wrote the letter in a very unusual way. What looks like an 'l' in the middle of the word in question seems to be the downstroke of the letter 'k'. The looped character after it is the remainder of the letter 'k'.

Compare with 'Brickyard' higher up on the same page.

I agree with Arthur, it looks like brickmaker to me
