Can this photo be dated from the lady's clothes please
« on: Tuesday 25 February 20 16:25 GMT (UK) »
Hi I thought I had sent 2 photo's of 'Mary & Fred' but only Fred seems to show in the post.
If this photo is already readable, I apologise for the extra one.
Can someone give any indication of date and possibly where from the clothes please?
Just to reiterate, I have no idea of who they are or where they come from
but both were emailed to me buy a distant relative who thought I would be interested in them.
I may well be but with no name, address or indications, I am a little lost.
Any information will be appreciated. Jim

I would guess at late 1850s early 1860s...It would be better if we could see the original photo. She looks very young.

Agree with Carol re the date. Also, I'd think she was maybe 18 +/- 2

Thank You Gadget. I would never have realised that silly mistake.
I've copied to paste here my earlier Thanks. (from an obvious technophobe!!)

Hello Folks,
Many Thanks for looking at this again for me and for your comments, taken on board. Thank you also for reposting the previous thread
I had forgotten about them and that they had already been on here when I accidentally found them recently. I was hoping they may have been my Gr Grandparents but 18 years old in 1850's means the lady was born too early. Unfortunately, there us no one left to ask the important questions.
Thats life though.
My Best Regards, Jim
