THe Hampsons are living in Lowes Hill in 1901. no house number.
They can be found in 1911 too in Hammersmith - no house name though.
Robbins - Wolverhampton.
Spooner - Monmouthshire & Wolverhampton.
Warner & Loundes - Dudley/West Bromwich.
Dod(g)son - Heysham/Liverpool/Wolverhampton

Thank you very very much for that newspaper article
Really interesting and a good start for a search
At least we now know the name of the house to be correct and used for a long time
Thank you again

On 1881 census Louisa's mother-in-law, plus family, (1881 is before Louisa's marriage) is at the first dwelling in Hammersmith after Lowes Hill.

Chempat
Thank you very very much
Now it's getting really interesting
We know most of the local neighbours who have lived in Hammersmith most of there lives have always tthought the house was built as a Flour or at least some kind of mill
However I've been under the house and there is now hole in the ceiling of the tunnel where a wheel might have been fitted same area above inside all sealed off
Also there is never enough water in the Brook deep enough or flowing fast enough to turn a wheel
It may have been an idea to build as a mill but ended up being a house
Regards n thanks again
Peter
