King's Ash - Paignton?

One of my interests gave King's Ash, Devonshire, as her birthplace in 1851. The only reference I can find for King's Ash in Devon is in Paignton.  Apparently there was once a Pontin's holiday camp there and prior that, an internee camp during the war.  Apart from King's Ash Road and King's Ash Academy, I can find nothing further.

Can anyone help with the history of King's Ash and advise what church would have been used by the residents?

I think you will find that the birthplace is in fact Ring's Ash, otherwise known as Ashreigney. https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DEV/Ashreigney

On the positive side, I have now become quite an expert on the Paignton area!
