Marriage in New York 1864

I have found a newspaper entry in the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper for the marriage of George Stringer and Harriet Bradshaw April 28th 1864.
There is no other information apart from them being married by the Rev E. M Johnson.

They could possibly be my Greatgrandparents, he was English and she was Irish.  I have them living in Belfast by 1867.

Would a marriage certificate from then give their parents names and occupations?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't have high hopes of finding a civil marriage record from that early in Brooklyn.  There's some information about vital records in Brooklyn and various links to databases here - https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Brooklyn_Borough,_New_York_Genealogy

I can't recall ever seeing a parent's occupation on a marriage record in the US.

Maine marriage records include the parents' occupation [at least after 1890ish] but, I agree, it's not usual.  I don't think I have any from NY with their occupation.

Daughter 'Francess Harriett' Stringer was born in November 1867 - is the following birth registration the basis of that comment about them living in Belfast by 1967?

Given the address for the birth in that civil registration record (23 Pilot Street), I think that I can place this couple's residence in Belfast earlier, by well over two years, for the Belfast Newsletter of 19 June 1865 reported an application for a spirit licence from a George T. Stringer of 23 Pilot Street.  On the heels of that came the following extract from an article on spirit licence applications in the Belfast Newsletter of 4 July 1865: 'George Thomas Stringer, 23, Pilot Street, Belfast, transfer from George Christie, granted.'.

I do have the newspaper clippings concerning George Stringer being a publican, there are quite a few
newspaper articles.

I just can't find a marriage for them, only the couple in New York with the same names.
