It's actually Hind Street, Poplar (not Hine Street as written in the record).

No sign of William at 44 in 1901 census.

Thanks for all these replies.  For some reason I didn't get emails to say that these replies had been posted.  I have all the info on Mary Ann's marriage and William appears as William Gorman on the 1871 census and had assumed the surname GORMAN after Mary Ann had married Hugh Gorman.  The next year (1872) Mary Ann had another son (Henry) but she was then put in an asylum.  Hugh GORMAN (Father) took his son (also Hugh GORMAN) and moved back to Scotland.

William James DUKE was born in the workhouse in 1859, Greenwich and it is his death date I am seeking.   I know her son Henry was brought up by another shoe maker (Edward Mitchell) but have no clue what happened to William.  I was surprised when I saw his name on Mary Ann's admission records,
Baillie; Laurie; Gordon/Gorman; Quinn; Erskine; Duncan
