Hi, I can not seem to find a birth record/baptism for Richard Goodridge born abt 1809 in Northamptonshire who married Catherine Gulliver Mallard who lived in Blisworth. I am wondering if he could be somehow related to Robert Goodridge & Mary Watson of Ashton. I would be really grateful for any help. Thanks Richard

Witnesses to the 1834 Marriage were Robert GOODRIDGE/Ann WESTLEY
That Robert may be the one born 1811 and Bapt to John/Eliz

He remarried 24 Sep 1865 Warwickshire, age 52, Widower,  Occp Blacksmith, Father JOHN a Blacksmith.
His 1st Marriage was likely    29 Jan 1837 Birmingham, to Ann CASHMORE

Hi Richard,

Not sure if you are aware, but the Goodridges of Blisworth were Baptists! There may not be a baptism to find, and the birth records of the Baptist Church are very scrappy.

There is a Will for a John Goodridge at the NRO, dated 1828. That might help. There's also one for an Elizabeth Goodridge, widow, in 1834, and a William Goodridge in 1854.

Hi, Thank you for all the help and the links. I am interested whether the Blisworth Goodridges are connected to Hartwell and I noticed looking at the Blisworth Baptists webpage there is a link to Hartwell saying how John Goodridge came from Hartwell to Blisworth.   

The connection where I am interested is Hannah Goodridge and Smith Wickins marriage in Hartwell in 1822. Smith & Hannah Wickins Daughter Elizabeth Wickins married William Hill of Wootton on 13 Oct 1862 in Hartwell which are my 2x Great Grand-Parents.
