Tardree townland-
https://www.townlands.ie/antrim/antrim-lower/connor/tardree/

The registration district & Poor Law Union is Antrim not Ballymena.

A large number of the 1800s birth registrations are for un-named (unknonw in index) children.

Someone else looking for same family in 2010- perhaps by now they've found more details-
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=478920.0
"They all originated in Northern Ireland and moved to Michigan."

More information on previous thread from 2009-
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,400372.0.html
"Rea, James known as Crothers, William John, age 57 years 10 months, married, gardener, nationality - N. Ire., born Connor, N. Ireland, last permanent residence - Jordanstown, N. Ireland, nearest relative - daughter Mrs. Annie Allan, Barneys, Kells, Ballymena, N. Ire., …"

Are you the sherianne321 who replied on the 2010 thread, Sheri Kenny?

Crikey!

Thank goodness I didn't waste much time looking through entries trying to find stuff that has already been found!

So, as well as William John Crothers being aka James Rea, was Agnes Leech aka Agnes Curry/Currie?

At risk of confusing matters further, but in view of the awol marriage for William and Agnes, could some kind soul let me have their thoughts on this one (and am I imagining that  the Agnes in it seems to have middle name Leitch/Leech....especially on signature section):

WILLIAM CRAUTHERS
Party 2 Name   AGNES ARMSTRONG
Date of Event   22 May 1896

The link to the marriage is above.  Agnes appears to be the illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth CURRIE/CURRY.

Missed seeing your link. At least we seem agreed that this is the likely marriage. So, Armstrong, Leech/Leitch, Curry/Currie all surnames for Agnes at varying times. At least she stuck with Agnes as forename.

SS Montroyal from Belfast 26 Apr. 1929 to Quebec 4 May 1929

Rea, James known as Crothers, William John, age 57 years 10 months, married, gardener, nationality - N. Ire., born Connor, N. Ireland,

This James REA fits the bill.

Yes, those details seem to already be on the other, older threads linked to earlier in this post.
