Hi,

I expect it probably is Coyne, but just in case: My first idea was Eoyne, which I've come across a couple of times in the past as an Irish surname.

At first glance, the first letter looked like the "E" in Elizabeth, but I think the top squiggle may be missing.

Best regards,
Karen

Where have you come across Eoyne?
I've never heard of it so I just tried it in several Irish data sets and get no result each time.

Elizabeth Darroch or Coyne...

Darroch would be her maiden name & Coyne a previous marital surname or aka e.g. if her mother had married/remarried?

I have known brothers in the past with surname Coyne which I believe is likely of Irish origin?

It looks like a Scottish DC?
