John Dell and Jane Orchard were married by Banns by William Lewis - Vicar
on 25 April 1831
Both John and Jane left a mark "X"
Witnesses: Maria Dell (made her mark)
                 Thos Godman - He signed his name.

Interestingly the next marriage held at the church on the same day (John Atkins & Ann Weatherly) was witnessed by the same 2 people (Dell & Godman)

Very interesting Lady Di, Thankyou, I may look into this, Maria Dell is a new name for me, wonder if John & Maria are siblings?, I was hoping to get a Father's name for John, to enable me to go back, Maybe one day, Thanks again

I'm sure you've found John & Jane on all census in Abbots Langley where many of their children and their children's children are listed with them.

Possible baptism:
John Dell at St Albans, St Michael 22 Oct 1809 - son of Samuel & Martha (Labourer)
and John's possible sister
Maria Dell - bp 10 April 1814 St Albans, St Michael - dau of Samuel & Martha (Labourer)
