My name is Robert Radford and I am interested in any information anyone in the Kentisbeare area that may be a relative or can give me any information concerning the Radfords that lived there in the 1700 and 1800's
I know that many lived and died there but others married and moved away left to find work elsewhere.
I and my son have a family tree on my ancestry that covers all family members. I visited Kentisbeare one day a few years ago, had a meal in the pub walked round the churchyard and streets and it was great.
My relatives begin from Richard Radford 1642 father to John Radford born 1687 father to Isaac Radford 1718 and it goes on from there at Kentisbeare up until the last remaining Radfords I am aware of in Kentisbeare during the 1800s who were the brothers Isaac, Abraham, Jacob,William, and George Radford. Many moved to other areas of Devon and up to Somerset. My great grandfather John Radford whose grandfather was Isaac Radford moved up to Bristol in late 1890s. I am his great grandson now seeking any information anyone has about this family of Radford's of Kentisbeare.
