I do think that the marriage of John Gaspard Maeder and Mary Dogwood 1807 is correct

I have her as Dogood.

Just had a quick search on FS after that interesting link you gave, Hallmark   ::) and found someone called Allgood Dogood - now there’s a name to live up to  ;)

A pity we can’t find a baptism for Maria although the family does seem to be the right one with the continued use of the name Gaspard.
