Top right hand corner of map - north of Pontyberem
Sorry for the late reply. A good spot but I think the wrong one as north of Pontyberem and not near 5 roads. I have also made enquiries elsewhere and got the below reply. Looks like a small group of houses, probably too small to be mentioned specifically on any map
“ With regards to Tainewydd/Bank Tainewydd, this was more commonly known as Banc-y-tai, being the given name for five old cottages on Heol Hen, that stood on the brow of the hill roughly a hundred yards from the square at Five Roads.
Interestingly, a row of three white-washed thatched cottages was demolished in 1938, the last of the thatched cottages in the village. They were situated on a public footpath off Heol Hen leading to Croesnant Farm. They were demolished to make room for Stone Terrace that was built by Llanelli Rural Council.
Tynewydd (a separate dwelling) is currently a dwelling house on Rehoboth Road. Formerly an Inn, “The Plough and Harrow”, this was where David Davies aka “Dai’r Cantwr”, a ringleader of the Rebecca Rioters was arrested.”
