If there is anyone who has access to Womanswould PR's I would be most grateful if they would check if there is a christening for Law Simms son of John and Mary Simms 1 October 1752
Crossing my fingers, Happy Christmas everyone, Brenda

Findmypast have a transcription for Law Syms with the date and parents name as given. I cannot see the original parish record only the transcription as it’s not on their website.
Hope it helps
Merry Christmas

Thank you so much for trying to help me, but I really need to know if this information is in the original PR's. Best wishes, Brenda

I managed to look at the online parish register on findmypast using a wider search. This record does not appear in the original parish register. It may be in the bishops transcripts. You may need someone to visit the archives after the Christmas break and look at the original records held there.

There is an image for a baptism - 1 October 1752 - Law son of John and Mary Syms - Woodchurch, Kent
ADDED: Image is on FindMyPast.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids. They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

Me again, there are identical christening details for Law Simms and his siblings in both Woodchurch and Womanswould on Find my Past, is there a reason for this ? Brenda

The Womenswold one is actually from Familysearch, who do use incorrect parish names sometimes. I have seen baptisms at Hardres entered on Familysearch as Ham. The Woodchurch one looks much better.
