Sarah Elizabeth Caron aka Dolly Harmer
« on: Wednesday 18 December 19 06:20 GMT (UK) »
From an obituary of Dolly Harmer reads: "Came from a theatrical family; her father was Peter Harmer, and her brothers Joseph and Frank were musicians."

Can anyone tell me anything about those two brothers, please?

I note that Sarah Elizabeth Harmer Caron born 1868 died 1932 Manchester

There is a baptism of a Sarah Elizabeth Caron in Bethnal Green 17 Feb 1867 with parents Pierre Jospeh Caron and Margaret Ann Caron  - Pierre was a comedian

At the same time a son James Henry Caron with the same parents was baptised and he was born 1865

There is also a Frances Victor Caron  bapt 28 Nov 1869 at Wigan, All Saints, Lancashire, with the same parents

Looks like Joseph Hamer was born Pierre Joseph Caron bon 1860 Lambeth.   In 1861 listed as Pierre and living with parents Pierre and Margaret in St George Southwark

In 1881 listed as Pierre Joseph Caron age 21 b London and boarding in Burnley working as a violinist

Frank Hamer Caron married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Meredith on 27 Jan 1889 at Toxteth, Liverpool - His father is listed as Peter Caron an Actor.    You should be able to find him and family in 1911 living in Manchester as FranciS Hamer - we aren't allowed to post detials re 1911
