You may get some idea from any marrige certificates. I narrowed a couple of mine by the father's name being (deceased) on the certificate.

Hi!

Many larger libraries have microfiche copies of the death index after 1901
and I've found it a pretty good way (and cost-efficient!) to track down
details of deaths by checking if the age fits and if the area in which the
death was registered seems likely.

As the index is alphabetical you would also be able to look for Katherine's
death at the same time.

As Robert was only 32 in 1901 you may have to check the records for
several quarters, but I've found it just as quick as trying to search for
records on 1837online and you can look for other things while you're there!

Good luck with your search.

 Thanks for that Ju,
I shall get to my local, and have a look. Perhaps they can point
          me in the right direction.

Is there a local LDS centre close by, just in case the library doesn't have what you want.

      Hi Viv,
My closest library is Steyning, West Sussex. It's a large village really.
Next place would be Worthing, then Brighton.

Any LDS there do you know?      Lesanne.

Not sure,
If you have a look on the family search website it might give you a list of the centres.
Good luck!
