Typical, just printed of multimap, it couldn't be further away.
I shall have to make a lot of deliveries to cover that time....!

Do LDS centres have the civil registration indices or just LDS records?

It's just that to find Robert Norris' death I think you need to look at the index
of deaths from 1901 onwards, so it might be worth checking what records
are available before you go.

There's also a LDS Church in Crawley. They also have a research library although I think it's only their LDS records.  Been there in the days before computers. Found them to be very helpful. They had all the microfiche or could get one's required if not on site. Might be a good idea to ring first.

If you are in Sussex, and have a day off, it might be cheaper to get a day return to London and go to the FRC in person and look through the death indexes. Whilst there you can also look for any other 'missing' people on your tree in the BMD indexes plus all censuses, all for the same cost.
Sometimes this is cheaper, and a lot more fun, than buying more and more credits on internet sites.

:D  Hey Everybody,  Thanks so much for all your replies.

You see, I don't get to have a day off as such. I'm in the flower trade
and have to be at market by 4am to get all the orders finished, home
about 6-8pm.         Thank goodness for Rootschat.  8)
As most of the record offices are only open in normal office hours, there is
very little chance of me ever getting there. I know exactly how our friends
in other countries feel. But I am ever hopeful as they are.
My last afternoon ( summer 04) away from work, I spent with my
daughter,  My goodness was this 3 years ago!!!  ;D
And I enjoy every day with the flowers and the customers.  :D

                                                                            :D Lesanne.  :D
