The family certainly weren’t well off, but not poor. I have sent a mail to the cemetery but feel a visit may be in order to see the resting area.

If you get a plot number, I should be able to tell you the state of that particular section and maybe make a preliminary sortie as I have a number of other requests at Streatham. The cemetery should know whether there is a gravestone and may even dig out a sunken one for you, as I've noticed a number of recently-exposed ones both there and at Lambeth.

P.S. Just in case they're related, I have a photo of a headstone there for an Albert Barnett (d 26-Mar-1924), his son Albert Samuel (d 2(3?)-Apr-1924) and a Charles Albert (date obscured).

Thanks Chris Dorian, I have mailed the cemetery to see if they can identify a plot or if Jacqueline is identified in a book of remembrance. What their response time is I have no idea. If I get a response I will take you up on your kind offer. As for the Barnett headstone I will have go back to my records.

Whoops, too many Alberts. The first two should be Abraham. I've done a bit more investigation and found them in a family tree on Ancestry, but no mention of a Jacqueline. I've put photos on Find A Grave. From the wide view you can see what I mean about a lot of bare grass!
