I looked on Scotlands people no Driver , could it be a spelling error.

I suspect they meant no DRIVER/GROAT combination.

Maybe you should post some information who it is you are looking for, location and a timeframe.

Why did you choose that cert to purchase?

Start from the present, but don’t post names of anyone living, and list the married couples and areas in which they were married.

What certs do you already have and have you found the relevant families on the censuses?

I did find the marraige of Drever/Groat on Scotlands people ,and also meant no marraige between Groat and Driver,

JJ, the image posted is a BC i.e. the child would be surname Groat, problem was the ms of mother as, as you say, no marriage for Driver but there is for Drever.

I can see how the name could be either e.g. in Dundee (Scotland) a Driver (of a car) would be called a Drever, local dialect  ;D

If the parents married 7/6/1892 (will be on the birth certificate) the surname is definitely Drever.

You'll find her name continually changes between Jane and Jean on the various records.
