Help needed from someone who can understand French, Dequidt & Waeles names
« on: Tuesday 03 December 19 09:56 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone help with the following names, I have French ancestry but unfortunately don't speak or understand French.

These are my great grandparents

Nestor Dequidt 1876-1967
Malvina Waeles 1885-1972

From the village of Godewaersvelde or at least it was where they lived and are now buried, its near the border with Belgium, close to Bailleul and the nearest major city will be Lille.

Any info on getting further back would be fantastic but links to French websites that allow searches would also be good as I could try use translate to try and search for details

TIA

Some primary sources (I hope they work):

https://archivesdepartementales.lenord.fr/?id=viewer&doc=accounts%2Fmnesys_ad59%2Fdatas%2Fir%2FEtat_civil%2FFRAD059_MI_A_Z_2011_07_01.xml&page_ref=141921&lot_num=1&img_num=1&index_in_visu=
Goto:
Image 102 - #26 – birth Nestor
Image 258 – #i13 - birth Malvina, born as Wyckaert. She became a Waeles when her parents married 23 Jun 1886

Goto:
