North Wales BMD show that Henry and Ellen married at St Anne's, Llandegai  but these records are not online so you'll have to either buy a copy of the cert via the GRO or get to the Gwynedd records office/Nat Library to view records there.

This cert should show you the name and occupation of Ellen's father.

Hi Gadget,
I have a copy of Ellen and Henry's marriage certificate from 1923. It show's Ellens father as William, a labourer. She was living in Coed Y Parc at the time. Does this tie in with your assumption her parents were William and Margaret?
There is a Margaret and William in the 1911 census with a daughter Ellen, but she's down as being born in 1905.
I have seen another Ellen, born 1902 living with her grandparents.
One of the witness's for their wedding was a William Baden Powell Evans!!!
