Hi,
I'm researching a Megan McDonald who was born 25/12/1915 (I think).
She married William Williams and they lived in Menai Bridge.
They had a son William Wynne Williams born in 1937
She died in 2004.
I'm trying to discover her parents or anything else about her, but I'm having trouble. I don't even know if she was born in Wales...
Could anybody give me any more information or point me in the right direction please?

If son is still alive - please remove his name from your post as Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy

Buying a copy of the marriage cert will give her fathers name.

Have you tried looking for a birth on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk.  If she was born 25/12 it’s likely her birth would not be registered until 1916

No, her son died in 1974.
Not sure when or where they got married either...

You may be a year out with her birth - possibly Christmas 1914 rather than 1915.

Megan’s marriage was 1936 but is shown on freebmd as MacDonald - in Carnarvon

According to their birth registrations:
William Wynne Williams was the son of William Williams and Megan McDonald born 29 Nov 1937, Llanidan and
Megan McDonald was the daughter of Richard McDonald and Mary Blodwen Williams born 25 Dec 1914, also Llanidan.
A Mary Blodwen Williams, daughter of Owen Williams & Margaret Jones was born 24 Jan 1896, Llanidan.
Llanidan is an Anglesey parish which is included in Carnarvon Registration District.
Anglesey - Thomas:
Bodedern, Heneglwys, Llanfair-yn-Neubwll.
Anglesey - Jones:
Llanfaethlu, Llanfair-yn-Neubwll, Rhoscolyn.
Anglesey - Parry:Llanfair-yn-Neubwll.
Anglesey - Lewis:Llanbadrig.
Anglesey - Willins & Tyran/Tyrer

Caernarvonshire - Evans and Lewis:Llanberis.

Denbighshire - Jenkins:Llandynan, Llantysilio, Cerrigydrudion.
