hope somebody can help, I have the death certificate of Ellen Emma Poole who was born November 1863 and died September 1946 she was 82 years old. She died in Edmonton Middlesex and her death certificate states she was a widow of Edward Poole Ironmonger, is there a way I can find out what her name was before marriage

Have you tried tracing her earlier life to identify her marriage and any children of the marriage, whose birth registrations should show their mother’s maiden name?

Finding a marriage is proving a problem.  Do you know anything else at all about her?  Who was the informant on her death certificate?

In 1939 she is in Victoria Road, Edmonton with a George (H) Smith?

I did find that, dob 15.11.1863

I found this death and wondered if it was her hubby

George Poole's occupation in the 1911 is given as clerical work.

According to the poster her Ellen's hubby was an ironmonger.

thanks everyone for your replies, I am trying to find what connection she had to George smith , she did live at Victoria road Edmonton and the informant of her death was the resident officer north Middlesex hospital Edmonton. I was just wondering why she lived there and what her maiden name was as there was an Ellen smith that lived there before her.
