finding the parents of James & Abraham Slack

After 2 years break from this search here we go again.   I am searching for the birth date of James & Abraham Slack.  (1821-1823).  They were born in Knotbury staffs, although Notbury & Norbury Staffs have come up probably a wrong transcription . I have found James on all the census' .  I  have his marriage cert and also his death cert but cannot find any date of his birth.   I would like to find out who his parents were and where they came from, although I feel that Knotbury is the key.   I am presuming that Abraham is James' brother as there is only 2 years between them, and they are both on the 1841 census working in Wildborclough Macclesfield.

What is his father's name and occupation as given on his marriage certificate?

You might want to look at this couple James and Hannah Slack cordwainer from Quarnford.
Children Ralph 28.12.1811 and Moses 5.12.1813.
They are of Turn Edge cordwainer.
They then disappear.
Ralph marries at Prestbury 26.6.1843 at St Peters to Elizabeth Goodwin and he continues to live at Macclesfield.
The 1851 census also gives a birth place of Wildboarclough.Former weaver retird.

Just a thought.He is the only James Slack i can find in Staffordshire about the right time.

Hi

I have James Slack as a 4th great grandfather.  He was born in 1811 in Staffordshire and died in 1883 in the Chell Workhouse at the age of 72.  He had quite a colourful life.  He was convicted of 'feloniously demolishing an office', it seems he was a 'chartist'.  He was sent to Tasmania on the John Renwick Hulk Convict ship in 1942 and returned in 1848 and continued living with his wife Dinah Tatler.  Ive taken a few wrong turns in finding his parents but all trace back to Ipstones in Staffordshire in the 1600's.

There were a few James Slacks in Staffordshire.  Have you got any other information?  Thanks
