Henry Peake/Louisa Sadler
« on: Friday 22 November 19 08:57 GMT (UK) »
Married in 1890 after having at least five children of which my grandmother was the youngest. They had described themselves as man and wife in censuses, children's birth certificates etc up to that time. Henry was born at Davenport, Cheshire but moved to Derby as a young man - Louisa was born in Quarndon, Derby. I am wondering whether either was already married which prevented their marriage previously. Does anyone have any information about either of them please?

Marriage in Macclesfield - Civil Marriage or Registrar Attended - 1890, March quarter = Henry PEAK (no e) and Louisa Sadler - from CheshireBMD.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Looking at GRO for Clara and Albert - mmn = Sadler, but having a bit of difficulty with the other children (might be due to my incompetence  :-\ )

In 1871 he is Henry G

There is an 1861 entry for Henry George Peakes b 1832 Astbury - he is single.  Perhaps they just never got around to marrying??

From the census Fred pob given as Castle Donington there's this baptism
father Henry's occupation is an Inn Keeper  :-\

Fred Peake 21 Sept. 1879  Baptism Lockington
Denomination   Anglican County   Leicestershire
father Henry
mother Louisa, abode Castle Donington
PB at Castle Donnington

This is the only Fred that I've come up with on GRO which might be a match but mmn HULL  ???
