Per freebmd the marriage was 1937 so child may still be alive.  Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy so you need to remove his name from your post.  You can use freebmd to find any other children born to them

Have you looked on the 1939 register to establish birthdates for George & Doris?

Use freebmd to find their birth registrations.  If they were born from mid-1911 their mothers maiden name will be shown.  www.freebmd.org.uk

Use that info to find their parents marriage on freebmd then look them up on the 1911 census

If they were born before 1911 use the birth reg info on freebmd on GRO online to find mothers maiden name

Death reg for George shows he died 1971 born 8.8.1911 so his birth will have been registered Sept qtr 1911 and should show his mmn

Doris was b 1914 - if you know she was b Derbyshire it looks like she was illegitimate -see freebmd

Do you have the birth details for William born 1879?  There is this birth registration but mmn is not what you have stated.
