Is there any way of to 'brighten' the photograph of Mortimer Deville Farrier. It was taken in Jamaica around 1880s ish.

At the risk of of being accused of plagiarizing, here's a quick try on one of them. I'd finish, but have errands to run. I cleaned it up some, no color yet.

Had a couple of goes at the second photo: one just after he came in from a dust storm and one after a having a bath - but he put the same suit back on.
