SLAUGHAM.
Accidental Death by Falling into a Tank.—On Thursday last, L. G. Fullagar, Esq., held an inquest at the dwelling-house of William Comber, on the body of his son, Caleb Comber, who was drowned under the following circumstances:—Mary, the wife of William Comber, beershop keeper, deposed that the deceased was their child, and was one year and four months old. On Wednesday, about half; past one, she saw deceased go out of the tap-room door. He had a little hat in his hand, and no one was with him. A few minutes after she missed him, and sent the servant into the garden to look for him, while witness went the other way. She found him in the tank, face downwards, floating on the water. She pulled him out, and he appeared to be quite dead...(continues)
