Death of one of the oldest Ladies in the county
At Hafod on Saturday last, there passed away Mrs Agnes Lloyd, at the patriarchal age of 94. The deceased lady was of Scottish descent, and daughter of Mr James and Mrs Jane Croil of Glasgow. She married Mr Edward Lloyd of Hafod, an extensive owner of cotton plantations in Jamaica. She had been a widow for nearly half a century. By the marriage, there were two sons, Lt Col E. Lloyd, J.P. and ex-High Sheriff of the county, and Mr LLewelyn Lloyd, now deceased. The funeral, which was of a public character, and fully choral, took place at Gwernaffield, on Tuesday. There were present, Lt Col Lloyd (son}, Mr R. C. Lloyd (grandson), Mr Lloyd (Maynard), Mr Sydney Lloyd, Mrs Lt Lloyd, Major J. H. Wynne Eyton, Mr E. H. Wain, Col P.B. Davies Cooke, Dt A Trubshaw, Dr K. V. Trubshaw, Dr K. V. Trubshaw, Major T. M. Keene, Mr R Stewart Kelly, Major Whitworth, Mr J Wynne Williams, and Mr H. R. Smith. The service was conducted by the Rev W.D. Owen, vicar of Gwernaffield and Rural Dean, and the Rev, Evan Jones, vicar of Mold.
