It can help to look it up on FamilySearch, you'll get the page number.
Don't think it's possible to tell what Vol your looking at on the images but sometimes you can see the page numbers, find the page and hopefully it's the right Vol as well.
I've got a couple I can try it out on, next time through the database, so I will do as you suggest, and also try the tool at https://www.swilson.info/wp/?p=2105.

So far, I've had the problem with a few non family members. I've been able to find my relatives ok.

This doesn't always work, but if you look at the link or hover over it you should see the filename that it is not linking to. If the file exists on the server but isn't in the place specified by the link you might be able to find it as follows.

Type the URL followed immediately by a colon followed immediately by the filename that you are looking for. Sometimes this will search for the occurrence of that filename anywhere on the server and return a correct link.

civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie:xxxxxxx

In the above line, replace the sequence of letter x with the correct file name. For example on my own website, the following line will highlight all occurrences of the word Armitage.

martinhwatson.co.uk:armitage

Depending on the structure of the website it won't always work but it is very useful.

Thanks. Nice having your own site, isn't it? and using Gramps as well :)

What I really need now is a mis-indexed record to practice on, but that will wait until I go back through the collateral families, neighbors, etc. that have accumulated in the database.
