My wife has just explained some of the changes! She pointed out that ancestry is American and they had clearly thought that Norway was Sweden ..... :)

The borders were fairly fluid in the past and for part of its history Norway has been governed by both Sweden and Denmark  :)

Very unhappy! - No not really!  Ive gone down from 100% Ireland  & Scotland, to 96 % Ireland & Scotland, and 4% England, Wales & North West Europe - but it (the 4%) could range from 0 - 4%, they say,  and 'your connection to this region is most likely through ancestors linked to this community - Scottish Lowlands, Northern England & Northern Ireland'.

So, to summarise, Ive lost my 100% Scottish/Irish, because of ancestors living in Scotland & Ireland ( well -- nearly, I have to acknowledge that Northern England I suppose ;) ;D).

I've just checked my Dad's ethnicity- he's still 100 % Scottish/Irish - so I can blame my mother ! - but no, I've just noticed, he has not had an update! Ah.... this is too much. :-[ :'(

Your DNA data does not change, but how it is analysed may change. They are regularly refining the ethnicity estimates as more data for reference populations becomes available. The other thing, most important from a genealogy viewpoint, which is dynamic is your match list. That will be added to as more people who match you take tests.

OK, thanks Craclyn, that makes sense!
I must admit, I am waiting in anticipation for my result now.
As you can see from my name/country list I have researched a bit and hope to be proven right with dna.
A distant cousin located me only yesterday from Sydney (I am in SAus) and it was a thrill to tell her "hell, yes, we are rellies"
Cheers,
Chris
