My wife has just explained some of the changes! She pointed out that ancestry is American and they had clearly thought that Norway was Sweden ..... :)

I think mine has gone up but I can’t remember what it was  :-\

If you click on the Updated button on the estimate box, then click on Learn more...., then click on View previous estimate, you'll get it  ;D

That's if you really want to know!

My niece just texted me to say that they'd changed her DNA and I had to explain that it was still very  pinch of salt. She was relieved.

OK I accept my 76% England, Wales and NW Europe.  That consists of Devon, Cornwall and Kent.  Yep got that.  Now where does Somerset fit it?  Two great grandparents came from there.
Ireland and Scotland 17% has me confused.  Could that be my liking of bagpipes or was I infected by my ex husband.
The thing that really worries me is my possible link to Southern Louisiana French Settlers around the Mississippi River and Baton Rouge.  If they can work that out why can’t they find my generations of Somerset blood?
James -Victoria, Australia originally from Keynsham, Somerset.
Janes - Keynsham and Bristol area.
Heale/Hale - Keynsham, Somerset
Vincent - Illogan/Redruth, Cornwall.  Moved to Sculcoates, Yorkshire; Grass Valley, California; Timaru, New Zealand and Victoria, Australia.
Williams somewhere in Wales - he kept moving
Ellis - Anglesey

I've yet to send my DNA off but using my brothers...

89.6% British & Irish
5.7% French & German
0.1% Broadly Melanesian

To date all our ancestry paper trail is Scottish/English/Irish

I've yet to find a European link nor Melanesian (which I need to look up) as I've never heard of it  ::)

I'm neither up nor down to be honest as there's never been any rumour of foreign blood to chase  ;D but I believe my maternal surname 'Jude' is highly likely to be European further back as it's not a common name in England where my paper trail leads back to early 1700s.

"Maternal Haplogroup
Your haplogroup, shared with Marie Antoinette, traces the long line of women in your family tree."

I can now rush out & tell the world I'm related to Marie Antoinette!
I knew there was a reason I had to buy her book in secondary school.

Away to 'update' my tree which may take a while i.e. any help on that line will be appreciated  :P

I think I may need to start a new thread for my new found connection  :D

It just means they share a common female ancestor. It could be from thousands of years ago as mDNA is slow to change.

I have the same maternal haplogroup as Meryl Streep.  ;D
